Chancellor Grossmont Community College District
Dr. Cindy L. Miles served as chancellor of the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District from March 2009 to December 2020. Previously, she was founding president of the Hialeah Campus at Miami Dade College, Florida and served as Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of the League for Innovation in the Community College. She was as a faculty member, researcher, grants developer, program director, and senior administrator at community colleges in Texas and Colorado. Dr. Miles received her Ph.D. in educational administration from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was recognized as Distinguished Graduate of the Community College Leadership Program; an M.S. in secondary and higher education, minor in biology, from Texas A & M University-Commerce; and a B.A. in biology from the University of Texas at Austin.
