If She Can Dream It…Help Her Be It Mentoring Workshop!

Workshop for Mentors

March 25, 2017

On behalf of Soroptimist International of San Diego, Coronado, Lemon Grove and North County we would like to invite you to be a part of our one-day conference event, where mentees will get the opportunity to work closely with their mentors, Soroptimist members and community leaders doing fun-filled activities and projects that will benefit them for years to come!

Dream It, Be It is a program of Soroptimist International of the Americas. Soroptimist is a global women’s organization whose members volunteer to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. Approximately 33,000 Soroptimists in 20 countries and territories support community–based and global projects benefiting women and girls.

Event Goal: To have Mentors and Mentees, Group Leaders, Teachers, Mothers and Daughters come together to participate in an EXCITING and FUN-FILLED day of career focused activities and professional speakers. Designed specifically for girls in secondary school (14-18), however girls of all ages are welcome.

Program Goal: Through education and resources, girls will be empowered to pursue their career goals and reach their full potential.

Objectives: Throughout the day, the participants will hear from dynamic speakers and participate in activities based on the following topics:

•           Discovering your dreams

•           Exploring careers

•           Creating achievable goals

•           Rising above obstacles

•           Turning failure into success

•           Balancing your stress

•           Putting dreams into action

We know that girls have a lot of responsibilities at school and at home. We believe Dream It, Be It is a worthwhile investment in their future success. We also believe a partnership with you or yourorganization will allow us to most effectively deliver this evidence-based program.
