The 2015 winner of the Coronado Chapter of Soroptimist International NJROTC Scholarship Award for Islander Company, Coronado High School is Cadet Lieutenant Carley Warlick. Carley has served as Executive Officer of the unit in Spring Semester 2015. She has been a team captain for our drill teams and has been an outstanding Platoon Officer in Charge.  She will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall where she plans on majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Her father, pictured with her in this photo,  is a Navy SEAL who has just returned from deployment.  The awards ceremony is Wednesday, May 13th at 7pm at the Coronado Community Center.  Colonel Wendy Sanger McGuire, USA (retired) will attend and present the check.  Captain Ken Ireland, USN (retired) Senior Naval Science Instructor,  writes,  “ Thanks for your support of our most outstanding female leader.”
