Twelve years after graduating from Coronado High School, as a single mother with two daughters, Deronda Chevannes has a goal to graduate City College with an Associate Degree in Business Management, then to move on to attain a combined Law and Business degree and finally to fulfill her lifelong dream of being an attorney.“As a returning student to San Diego City College I am looking to enhance my life and ability to care for my children via educational advancement.  I would like my children to see that anything is possible as long as you have the desire, self-determination and perseverance. My life no longer says, ‘Do as I say and not as I do.’ Now I am leading by example.”
