Soroptimist International of Coronado (SI-Coronado) is part of a global volunteer organization working to transform the lives of women and girls by providing them with access to education and training to achieve economic empowerment.

SI-Coronado is launching a Request for Proposals (RFP) for 2025-26 funding with a cap of $5000 per organization.


We would welcome a proposal from your organization.  Application HERE

The deadline for submission of proposals is June 30, 2025.

Please note that 2025-26 funding may be used for specific stand-alone projects that align with our mission and directly impact women and girls (e.g., women-focused programs/materials/products/projects, scholarships, bus passes, tuition, books, outside professional services, etc.). Funds may not be used for ongoing overhead costs such as salaries, facilities, or administrative expenses.

History
The name Soroptimist, loosely translated from the Latin, means best for women. The first Soroptimist club was formed over 100 years ago in 1921 in Oakland, California.

Today, Soroptimist International (SI) is a global organization with clubs in more than 120 countries
worldwide. SI has received general consultative status to serve in the United Nations on the
Economic and Social Council.

Soroptimist International of Coronado (SI-Coronado) was formed over 75 years ago. In the last ten years,
its membership has raised and distributed over $500,000 to fund scholarships and support the work of
organizations that align with our mission.
