Jane Granzer Memorial Scholarship Award

The Jane Granzer Senior Award provides a scholarship for one senior girl at Coronado High School each year. Interested Coronado High School Senior Girls contact your school counselor/counseling center.

Jane Granzer was a nurse at the Coronado Hospital from 1954 continuing until her retirement in 1985. She was director of nursing and in 1965 she was appointed assistant administrator of the Coronado hospital.

Jane made a major contribution to Soroptimist International Coronado helping to build the Club and serving it in every capacity since joining in 1956. She held the position of Club President, was honored as Club Soroptimist of the Year in 2002, and was inducted into the Laurel Society. She was Soroptimist Coronado’s “Best Woman” who wanted only the “Best for Women.” In honor of her memory, we provide two scholarships for senior girls at Coronado High School each year.
