Lynda joined SIC in 2011 and served on the finance committee from 2012 until 2014 and again 2021-2023. She was also our treasurer in 2012-2013, 2021-2022, and again 2022-2023.

Lynda graciously served as our SIC President in 2024-2025

Every year, we hosted the Legends Luncheon, Lynda worked the check-in/check-out tables, helped with the silent and live auction payments, and banking. She helped set up and process payments, count cash and balance, and close the books. Her work started long before the event and continued long afterwards. She later said that in the years that she helped with the luncheon, she never stepped inside the ballroom long enough to sit down at her lunch table to eat.

Lynda has attended many District meetings over the years; she was in charge of registration and fee collections when SIC hosted the very successful District III meeting in 2024.

Lynda has been instrumental in having SIC collaborate with other organizations over the last couple of years, including introducing us to Rotary Binational and their water project for schools in Mexico. This project was our first ever joint grant with another service organization, and the pilot project included an invitation to the opening of the clean water pump stations at several remote locations in Mexico.

Lynda stepped up to be Treasurer in a year when no one else was able to take on that position, and then stepped up as President again under similar circumstances. As president, she has instituted several new ideas that have brought new energy and life to the club, including Happy Hours once a month. We are excited to recognize her hard work, inspiration, dedication, and service to the club and community with this nomination.
